Corporate meets bespoke

Nestled in the heart of Shoreditch, London, the chic Sun Street Hotel stands as a the jewel in the Bespoke Hotels group crown. From the outset, Lyn Oakes was entrusted with a pivotal role in bringing the hotel's vision to life: creating a uniform collection that would embody its unique character. Working closely with the hotel from the initial architect conceptual drawings, we embarked on a six-month journey to design and deliver a comprehensive wardrobe for every department, from the Doormen gracing the entrance to the dedicated Housekeeping team ensuring seamless guest experiences. The challenge was to create uniforms that were not only aesthetically stunning but also practical and durable enough to withstand the rigors of a bustling hotel environment.

Colour is king

The design palette for Sun Street Hotel was rich and sophisticated, featuring deep aubergine hues and the subtle shimmer of old rose gold. These tones were seamlessly woven into the fabric of the uniforms, reflecting the hotel's elegant and contemporary style. Our approach was a blend of bespoke design and clever customization. For some roles, such as the striking doormen, we crafted fully bespoke pieces, incorporating rich velvet to create a sense of high-end professionalism. For other departments, we elevated classic corporate suiting with bespoke touches. Aubergine collar trims, specially sourced buttons, and other subtle details transformed off-the-peg pieces into unique expressions of the Sun Street brand. Even the smallest details were considered, with custom-made silk aubergine cufflinks adding a final flourish of refinement.

Delivering on point

The scope of the project was extensive, encompassing uniforms for Front of House, Managers, Food and Beverage staff, Bar team, Housekeeping, and Maintenance. Each garment was carefully considered to ensure it met the specific demands of the role while contributing to a cohesive overall aesthetic. Comfort and practicality were paramount, alongside the need for a classic yet modern twist. Our experienced warehouse team meticulously collated every item at our head office, ensuring a seamless and timely delivery to meet the hotel's grand opening deadline. The result is a uniform collection that not only enhances the hotel's visual identity but also empowers its staff to perform their best, contributing to an exceptional guest experience at the Sun Street Hotel.
